4 Chiefing Traps and How to Avoid Them

by admin on Nov.25, 2009, under articles

When chiefing a village it’s easy to get carried away with the excitement of stealing a village. Often players will forget some of the most basic properties of an effective chief and fail their takeover attempt. Here are the top 4 traps and how to make sure you don’t make them.

·         Forgetting to destroy the Main Building: In order to build a residence a village must have a level 5 main building. To bring the main building to level 1 takes just under an hour on speed servers. This gives you more time to organize your troops if you are only using one chief to take over a village. Sure, you’ll have to rebuild it yourself, but at least you will have the village.

·         Using one chief for an active player: If you are going to use one chief you might as well take over the village of a player that is inactive. If you try taking over a village from a very active player with only one chief you increase the chances of your chief being killed or sniped.

·         Chiefing villages that are too far away from your cluster: Chiefing should be done out of convenience, not excitement. Don’t take over a village just because it’s available. You may end up losing it because it is too far away to protect.

·         Not having the culture points to align up for building your empire: This mistake is probably the silliest one of the bunch. Yet somehow players get excited over taking over a village and think that the CP will be ready by the time they take the village. Do your math!

And that’s it! There are probably hundreds more, but there are some of the more common ones. Make sure you plan out your chiefing so that you enjoy the process and don’t end up pulling your hair out when your chief dies.

4 Farming Traps and How to Escape Them (Travian)

by admin on Nov.17, 2009, under articles

Farming in Travian can be fun; however there comes a certain point in your “farming career” where you can make some really stupid mistakes that cause you more grief than the resource that you steal do you good. What are these traps? How does one avoid them? Read on.

·         My target will never grow: If the person you are raiding is active they are growing. They likely have several crannies set up and as soon as they have troops in their village they send them somewhere safe. Scout out the surrounding villages near your farm to be sure his/her troops are not getting ready for a major assault on your village.

·         Raiding at the same hour every day: If you farm a player at the same time every day they will make sure they spend down or send their troops out during those times. To maintain inconsistency, raid your farms when you get up to go to the bathroom in the night. Your wife may think you’re crazy but you can assure her that you are being considerate (of your troops).

·         Oasis/Reinforcements: Some farms will store their troops in your oasis. If they do so, you will be feeding them. Storing troops in a village is very obvious. However storing them in an oasis is not. Throw a quick glance at your rally point statistics so that you know what troops are in your village.

·         Neglect to read a farm’s profile: When you are farming 50 or more farms every day it’s easy to forget to look at their profile page. Some farms are being protected by bigger alliances or players. You don’t want to wake up to find you had 3 villages catapulted to zero because you forgot to read a farm’s profile and scooped up 150 crop. Be aware of who you are raiding and who is messaging you.

by admin on Nov.14, 2009, under articles

Before we show what they are, I must disclose that shows some part of my character. Some of these cheats who have the information, while others who have collected at the attempts by other players. You would not believe how many players cheating Travian and trade in their accounts as a result.

Think · Multiple accounts: Many new players when running more than one account, which will be in a position at the front as the best players. Resources are barely at the beginning of the game when you're farming 24 / 7. Stick with it though, because you will not, not by the multi-Hunter will be caught. The punishment for this "crime" generally secondary to your account and deleted the cut of its population aged 25 to 50%.

Pushing Resources ·: This trick is almost as common as the first. As a server moves toward the end of the players quit. The accounts of the players are often hidden by other players who want to use their resources. This penalty generally prohibit a 1 – week. Everything is frozen until the ban lifted, and can resume playing.

? Another very common form of fraud uses scripting on your browser. These scripts are the robots to build the fields, buildings and move your troops automatically at certain times. I understand the penalty for using this is a complete ban of the account 100%. I've never met anyone who was presented with this problem, because the scripts are very difficult for the Travian Team identified.

These 3 codes are the most common tricks that players (contact often inexperienced) if they think they need to do fraud, "the court and promotion to higher levels. Nothing is further from the truth.
